Uma Rugs
Oushak is undeniably the most famous rug style in the United States. The best-selling rugs in the world come from Anatolian region of Turkey. Champagne can only come from the region of Champagne, France. Just the same, a true original oushak will only come from Turkey. While we can never match a true Oushak rug for its style and technique, we have developed the experience to make a rug that matches its beauty. We use the best available long fiber New Zealand wool and expose it to a family recipe of dyeing to arrive at the perfect combination of hues and shades of colors. Master weavers carefully weave knots into designs. Next, we wash the rug as closely as was done in Turkey. Although we have not created a masterpiece, the result is as close as it can be. This rug will last for generations, and it will be a conversation piece for years to come.
